3 EMDR Exercises

You Can Do At Home

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a form of therapy originally designed for trauma and PTSD but eventually adopted for other purposes, like treating anxiety, phobias, chronic pain, and more.

While the desensitization and reprocessing parts of EMDR should be done with a professional, there are some exercises that can be done at home to bring you more peace and calm, and to give you resources to face life stress.

The following recordings have been designed by a psychotherapist and professionally recorded to guide you through EMDR visualizations. They use bilateral music to simulate the eye movement effect. You must wear headphones to get the full benefit.

Try these exercises to promote a sense of calm, contain stressful emotions, and ease unpleasant sensations in your body!
